STIGA Advantage Table Tennis Table

Is The STIGA Advantage Table Tennis Table Suitable For The Office And Games Room?

STIGA Advantage Table Tennis TableThe STIGA Advantage Table Tennis Table is a strong looking table with a good frame, clean lines and decent net. The table boasts a 5/8 inch thick table top with silk-screen printed stripe.

There are also 1.5inch self-opening legs, a 1.5 inch steel apron for durability and a playback position with the “10 minute QuickPlay” mode.

Not only does this suggest high quality to new buyers, it means that the ping pong table looks pretty good as well.

This is important for those that are buying it for the office, as the sales pitches suggest. It looks as though it should be the sort of table to make visitors and clients say “wow”, but does it perform like a high end model?

How beneficial has this STIGA Advantage Table been in these different situations?

The specification for this table talks about how easy it is to set up and assemble, with the idea that anyone can get it out of the garage or storage area and have a quick game. This is where that 10 minute QuickPlay feature comes in. The product is said to be 95% pre-assembled on arrival, so no messing around with fiddly parts and fixtures.

There is some tightening to do on some of the nuts and bolts for safety, but nothing to strenuous. Also, the net and post set are easy to attach due to the clamp system. The table also joins by clamps. This is a surprise to some users, but it still remains a strong, secure table that feels as though it is in one piece.

In addition this this, the Stiga table has lockable casters for easy transportation and comes apart in two halves. This not only makes it easy for users to move the table from room to room in those two halves, it means that it doesn’t take up much space.

Some tables can be a little fiddly to fold up and put back together in a secure manner, but there are few complaints here and there is the sense that this will remain a sturdy, reliable model, no matter how many times it is taken in and out of the games room.

There is also the fact that this net is sold as being a “tournament grade” accessory, which suggests that this really is a high-end model for a competition, top-level game of table tennis.

There is a lot of talk of friendly competition in the office, but there is no reason why kids and teens shouldn’t be able to use this product to improve their skills at home. This is aided by the bounce and quality of the playing surface.

Many are impressed with the speed and smooth nature of the table. The slate blue surface does more than look good in a games room.

Are there any downsides to choosing this STIGA Advantage Ping Pong Table?

At the time of writing this review, most of the reviewers talking about this product online had given it the good ratings for its performance, look and general quality. This means that there are few issues to be concerned with. The lowest rated review talks about a lack of durability and quality control with screws falling out in use.

However, this goes back to that idea of giving the product a quick once-over with a screwdriver before use. It can be assumed that had this reviewer done so, he wouldn’t have had this bad experience.

There is also the odd comment about the heavy weight of the halves and a wonky net, but neither seem to be a big concern.

As with many tables, there is the fact that the paddles and balls are not included. However, this is so common that it is hard to mark Stiga down for it.

Summary: does this lack of negative reviews mean that the STIGA Tennis Table is highly recommendable?

There is clearly a lot to love with this model and the wealth of positive comments, and absence of negative ones, means that it is impossible not to recommend this product to other prospective buyers.

This table really does tick all the right boxes in terms of providing that “tournament” level experience on a user-friendly, portable product with some nice details. The quality, look, bounce and construction of the STIGA ping pong table all mean that it really would work well in any game room or office.
